We're halfway through June and the networking and events are still coming. I know I keep saying it, but IT'S CRAZY!!! With the exception of a couple tech-ish things, most of this week's activities are strictly business. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, morning, noon and night. With so many options there's no excuse for not getting out and doing at least one. In fact, I'm going to challenge you.
If you have not gone to a networking event in the last thirty days I want you to attend one of this week.
Whether you're looking for a job, trying to drum up new customers or simply widening your network there is an event for you. 603 Networking has a job fair on Thursday evening, Charlene DeCesare's Women Connecting With Women group is on Wednesday, St. Mary's Bank is hosting an investment workshop on Tuesday and even I am hosting an open discussion about this year's goals on Thursday.
What are you waiting for?
This time last year we had entire weeks when there were no events. Two years ago we had months where there were only a handful of activities all month. It takes a lot of time and effort to organize an event and if we don't support the people and groups who go out of their way to find a location, topic, speaker, etc... to host events they aren't going to bother and we will be right back where we were.
One of this week's gems is a free workshop from St. Mary's Bank called Investing 101: A Guide to Understanding Your Financial Planning Options. What are you saving for? What should you be saving for? Learn the basic concepts in the personal investment and get answers to your investment questions. Tuesday, June 14 at St. Mary's Bank 48 Perimeter Road, Manchester. For more information/RSVP: https://www.stmarysbank.com/eventscalendar/eventsd...

I'll be at Aroma Joe's 2 S. Beech Street, Manchester on Thursday, June 16th from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM if anyone wants to stop by, compare notes and talk about how to keep this year's goals on track. We still have six months to get things up to speed. Even if you got sidetracked somewhere along the way, there is usually a way to use the progress you have made to salvage this year's business plan. NOTE: You don't have to own a business. Personal goals are important too, in fact, my business and personal goals tend to intertwine.
Also this week, Cathy Clement is hosting an information night on Monday, June 13 at the Hampton Inn 407 Amherst Street/RTE 101A, Nashua for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a Kyani distributor. Doors open for networking at 6:00 PM, presentation begins at 6:30 PM. For more information please contact Cathy Clement 603-493-2843.
And finally, there is a new group on meetup.com for Blender users. I should probably clarify that and say that the group is for people who use the opensource 3D computer graphics program Blender.
The potential for use beyond basic 3D graphics (did I really say basic???) is incredible and every time I try it I go further and further down the rabbit hole and never finish anything. The group lists their location as Nashua, but this is such a complex program that it's definitely worth the drive for anyone interested in computer graphics. For more information about this group please visit http://www.meetup.com/Southern-New-Hampshire-Blend...
As usual, I have no affiliation with Kyani, Clement Massage or any of the other paid groups or businesses mentioned in this week's Roundup. The goal of Queen City Buzz is to promote and support local businesses and that includes sharing information about business promotions and upcoming events. Drop me a line if you have an event or special you'd like to share. I can be reached at email@example.com
